Mick Wright Trophy

In memory of Mick Wright, our Membership Secretary for over 15 years. As a member of the public said after reading his obituary, "the Face of the Section". Mick was instrumental in bringing new people into the section, never more so than at our Open Show. Armed with several bottles of wine and his charm, he'd talk to anybody and leave them smiling. When the family presented the section with a trophy in his memory we had no hesitation in deciding to award it to the best vat of fish entered by a section member at the show. Mick came into his own at the show and its fitting that his memory is celebrated there.
The Winners

The Winners

2003 - Tony & Vi Hussey. Tony receiving the award from Maureen Wright.	2004 - Tony & Vi Hussey. Tony & Vi receiving the award for the 2nd year running.
2005 - Tony & Vi Hussey. Tony & Vi receiving the award (again!) for the 3nd year running. You have to admit - we are consistent.	2006 - Yes! They wone it again. I didn't see the point in taking another picture. Variety and Quality is the reason for their consistent success.
2007 - At last! Somebody breaks the deadlock. This year Tim Fisher collects the award. Presented by Section Chairman David Brown.
